Best starting words for 8 letters
At eight letters almost every word contains an E (69% of the list), and more than half contain S, I, A, or R. The engine's best openers against the full list are NOTARIES, SCENARIO, and ARTICLES, each with eight different letters drawn from the most common ones. Because so many words share E, S, and A, the colors on those tiles tell you less than the colors on N, T, O, L, and C. Watch those tiles closely when you read the first row.

How hard is a 8-letter puzzle?
The eight-letter list is the largest the solver offers for common game lengths: 28,420 words. Long words are also more likely to repeat a letter, and repeated letters are where many solvers go wrong. This one replays each guess against every candidate using the same two-pass check as the puzzle, so a gray second copy of a letter never wrongly removes words that contain one copy. Expect the field to drop fast after row two.
How to use the 8 letter Wordle solver
- Play a 8-letter guess in your puzzle.
- Type that word into the first row above. Letters per word is already set to 8.
- Click each tile until it shows the puzzle’s color: gray for absent, yellow for wrong spot, green for correct spot.
- Submit the row. The possible answers and the best next guess update together.
- Play a suggested word, bring back its colors, and repeat until one word is left.

Frequently asked questions
Does the solver include plurals and verb forms at eight letters?
Yes. The ENABLE word list includes regular endings, so words such as CHERISHED, SHOULDERS, and REPEATING are all present at their lengths. Proper names and brand names are not included.
The tiles are small on my phone. Can I scroll them?
Yes. Each row keeps full-size tiles and scrolls sideways inside the board, so the page itself does not get wider.
